Then one of the caravan leaders collected much grass, firewood and water and set out.

dviiha-tiiha-payaato kho pana so sattho addasa purisa.m kaa.la.m lohit-akkha.m apanaddha-kalaapa.m kumuda-maali.m alla-vattha.m alla-kesa.m kaddama-makkhiitehi cakkehi gadrabhara-rathena pa.tipatha.m aagacchanta.m.

And whatever there were in this caravan, men or animals, they were all eaten by a non-human spirit, and only their bones remained.

And there the Blessed One stayed at Ambalatthika.

and the king’s revenue will be great, and the lands safe, without thieves or oppression,

men / and / happy / rejoicing / own / sons / dancing / not-veiled-house / I believe / they will live / (end-quote)
and I believe the people will be happy and rejoicing, dancing with their children, and will live in unlocked houses.’”

If he remains a householder, he will become a righteous, wheel-turning Dhamma-king.
